About me

Hello, I'm Tammy Ridgeway, a thirty-something year old from North London. I've had IBS for around a decade and between 2014-2015, I experienced more significant symptoms which had an impact on my personal life and work. For me, one of the major causes for a flare-up is stress and anxiety. My gut is my emotional epicentre. If I'm upset, it's upset.

Thankfully, I have the support of my family and friends. But I know that some people don't. That's why I created #gutfeelings, to raise awareness and help others like me – and you.

IBS is a condition that isn't spoken about enough. Anything to do with the stomach, bowels and digestion is a topic that's off limits to many. But we should talk about it. Gut instincts are so important to the way we make decisions and experience life. So, sharing your IBS #gutfeelings might just help to reduce the stigma and start a conversation that no one should be embarrassed about. Ever.

Join me by sharing your story. Together we can break the poo taboo.
